Morning Routine: Life-Changing Habits for Manifesting, Mindset Mastery & Reclaiming Your Power

Hunny, 2021 was a bit tumultuous! Amidst a global pandemic, career transitions, and community challenges, I found myself overwhelmed and drained, giving everything I had to the world but neglecting myself in the process. It was a wake-up call to reclaim control over my life and mindset, starting with my morning routine. I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, cultivating habits that transformed my days and my outlook on life.

Here are life-changing habits that have empowered me to manifest my dreams, master my mindset, and reclaim my power. Stay tuned for Part 2 later this week!

1. Make Time for Yourself

In a world where we often prioritize others over ourselves, carving out dedicated time in the morning for self-care is essential. By naming and claiming this time as your own, you set the tone for a day centered on self-nourishment and empowerment.

What will you call your time in the mornings? Power Hour? Me Time? Golden Hour?! Whatever it is, it’s yours!

2. Show Gratitude Toward Your Space

Taking a moment each morning to express gratitude for your home and sanctuary can shift your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Open the blinds, let fresh air in, and reflect on the journey that led you to this space of safety and comfort.

3. Remind Yourself of Your Power Through Affirmations

Craft affirmations that reaffirm your agency and resilience. By repeating positive statements, you cultivate a mindset of self-belief and empowerment.

4. Give Yourself Something to Look Forward To

Create a simple pleasure to anticipate each morning, whether it's a warm cup of coffee or a moment of quiet reflection. Cultivating small moments of joy can infuse your day with positivity and motivation.

I always make my coffee and keep it on warm until I am done with all of the activities that require me to move around the house. Why? Because I like to sit and enjoy my coffee without interruption and without moving. Find something in your life that invites you to enjoy and look forward to the experience. 5. Move Energy Through Your Body

This goes without saying—engaging in physical activity in the mornings awaken your body and mind. By moving stagnant energy that has been sitting in your system overnight and promoting blood flow, you pave the way for a day of vitality and productivity.

I started doing Tai Chi in the mornings to move the energy through my body. Tai Chi is an Eastern medicine practice based on the philosophy of QiGong, which translates to “life force.” It’s a great way to actively have a mind and body connection and move the negative energy out of your body and embrace positive energy.
