Life will always have it’s ups and downs. So, knowing how to reclaim control over our lives and mindsets is crucial—and it can begin with a revamp of your morning routine. In Part 1 of this morning routine series, I talked about how I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, cultivating habits that transformed my days and my outlook on life. Now, I’d like to share even more tips!
Here are life-changing habits that have empowered me to manifest my dreams, master my mindset, and reclaim my power.
1. Have Manifestation Journaling Sessions
Write journal entries from the perspective of your future self, embodying the reality you desire. This practice not only clarifies your goals but also reinforces your personal power to manifest them daily with he tools at your disposal. Here are some prompts that have helped me imagine a new reality for myself and work daily to achieve that reality:
Write about your ideal day on December 31st
Write about your career that you will have in 10 years
Write about your ideal day in your peak period of life
Write about what you are grateful for today
Write about what you are grateful for next year
These prompts allow you to visualize your ideal reality, yes, but also force you to realize that your ideal reality is most likely a few small decisions away from your current. 3. Habit Stack to Complete Tasks
Maximize efficiency by combining tasks that complement each other. Whether it's exercising while answering emails or taking a walk during meetings, multitasking can streamline your morning routine. Here’s an example: While doing my morning treadmill walk, I complete admin tasks such as answering emails and posting my short-form content. This forces me to do something that I need to accomplish (taking care of my body & business) while also freeing up time during my day for more creative tasks.
4. Treat Yourself to Whole Foods
Nourish your body and mind with nutrient-dense foods that support your well-being. By prioritizing whole foods, you fuel your brain and pave the way for a vibrant, energized day. Starting your day off on the right food will allow you to make decisions throughout the day that align with the plan with which you started. Make a good decision first thing in the morning and the rest will follow! I sometimes do a green juice in the mornings to give me an extra boost of energy!
5. Show Up as the Person You Want to Become
Embody the qualities and values of the person you aspire to be. By aligning your actions with your vision for the future, you take proactive steps toward personal growth and fulfillment. Moving through your day making the decisions as the person you want to be is what people mean when they say “show up as the person you want to become.” By doing so, you soon realize that the person and life that you’re visualizing in your head is only a small decision away from the current version of yourself.
